A Chinese silk embroidered civil rank badge, first rank, late Qing dynasty, of circular form, finely worked in coloured and gilt threads with a red capped crane facing the sun as it stands on a rock, emerging from waves, within a surround of the eight Buddhistic emblems on a cloud ground, diameter approx 29cm, within a glazed mahogany frame.
