A rare Chinese porcelain cat night-light lantern, Qing dynasty, probably Jiaqing period, modelled as a crouching cat with arched back, finely painted with brown and yellow tiger stripes, the eyes, mouth and ears pierced and a large pierced cash medallion on the back, picked out in famille rose enamels, length approx 22cm, height approx 15.5cm (restoration).
