AUTOGRAPHS. An a.l.s. by Augustus John addressed to 'Dear Mrs Parsloe' and dated 'Jan. 3, 1935', 1p, 26.5cm x 22.5cm, the letter states 'I don't want to meet Mr Fox, I admit, as I fear he's a bore and I did not approve of the corrections he made in your manuscript. He seemed to want to cut out all the racy stuff'. Note: family history believes the manuscript was for the book 'A Parson's Daughter' by Muriel Jardine Parsloe.
