LOT 1121
An early 19th Century Scottish mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the silvered break arch dial with Roman hours and outer Arabic minutes, framing subsidiary seconds and date dials within engraved foliate scroll borders, the arch with engraved scroll cartouche inscribed 'Mitchell & Son, Gorbals', the hood with swan neck pediment above a glazed door and spiral fluted columns, the rectangular trunk door with chequer banded inlay, flanked by spiral fluted corner columns, on a chequer band inlaid base and bracket feet, height approx 220cm, with pendulum and winder (base reduced and minor faults).
