A mid-Victorian burr walnut and floral marquetry centre table by Gillows of Lancaster, with overall applied cast gilt metal mounts, the serpentine shaped top finely inlaid with a floral spray within a strapwork scroll border and further flowering and fruit-laden garlands, the kingwood crossbanded border within a moulded edge, the shaped frieze fitted with a pair of drawers opposing dummy drawers, raised on tapering cabriole legs with applied gilt metal foliate knees and sabots, the right-hand drawer stamped 'Gillow', height approx 75cm, length approx 138cm, depth approx 71cm.
