An 18th Century Dutch East India Company naval officer's sword with curved single edged blade, length approx 62cm, with narrow fuller, struck 'D.V.O.C.' and dated 1788, hilt with brass lion's head pommel and pierced guard, spiral turned marine ivory grip with iron ferrule (worn overall, grip cracked, blade nicked and pitted), together with a relic Indian tulwar.
