A mid-19th Century French Gothic Revival ormolu, iron and ivory mounted jewellery casket by Alphonse Giroux et Cie, Paris, the domed lid and sides with overall engraved foliate decoration and overall pierced strapwork mounts, each corner mounted with an ivory figure in medieval dress, the interior lockplate bearing engraved maker's mark, height approx 16.5cm, width approx 23.4cm (lacking interior lining).
