LOT 1042
A George III walnut longcase clock with eight day five pillar movement striking on a bell, the brass break arch dial with rocking Old Father Time to arch within a silvered frame inscribed 'Tempus Fugit', above a silvered chapter ring with Arabic and Roman numerals, the matt brass centre with silvered subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and inscribed 'Edm'd Smith, Bury, No. 795', cornered with gilt metal foliate spandrels, the pagoda hood with brass eagle and ball finials, the moulded arch pediment above a glazed door flanked by fluted columns, the trunk with an arched door on a plain base and plinth, height approx 235cm, with pendulum and two weights.
