A Japanese cloisonné jar and cover, possibly from the Namikawa studio, Meiji period, the quatrelobed body finely worked with two pairs of opposing panels, filled with ho-o birds and dragons against gilt speckled green and goldstone grounds, all reserved against a blue ground within elaborately bordered collar, neck and shaped base, the oval domed cover with smaller vignettes and pale blue characters, against a floral filled mustard ground, height approx 20cm (minor faults).
