LOT 1550
A mid-19th Century French Meissen style porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the circular enamel dial with blue Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, the porcelain case with flower charged urn surmount painted with birds and flowers, the drum and pillar flanked by a pair of putto herm supports, united by a fruiting festoon, the breakfront base painted with further birds and flowers, on foliate moulded feet, pseudo underglaze blue crossed swords and incised '1914' to base, height approx 64cm, with pendulum and winding key (minor faults).
