A Japanese Satsuma earthenware bowl, Meiji period, of lobed circular outline, the interior painted and gilt with variously shaped figural panels beneath a black and gilt key fret rim, the exterior with further figural panels reserved against a simulated brocade ground, iron red and gilt signature, including Shimazu mon to base, diameter approx 14cm, with ebonized case.
