An early 19th Century Anglo-Indian ivory chess set, each piece turned and finely carved from a single piece of ivory, one side stained red, the turned knops carved with acanthus leaf bands, faux brickwork and reeding, height of king approx 9cm, cased within a later box (two rooks with badly damaged turrets and other minor chips).
