A Japanese Satsuma earthenware bowl possibly by Meizan, Meiji period, of steep sided circular form, the exterior finely painted and gilt with radiating vertical millefleurs panels, the interior filled with butterflies, indistinct black and gilt signature to base, diameter approx 12cm (repaired and rim chips), together with a Japanese Satsuma rectangular box and cover and two matching rectangular pin dishes, early 20th Century, painted and gilt with millefleurs, iron red and gilt signature to bases.
