LOT 905
A brass ship's bell from the Admiralty modified W-class destroyer H.M.S. Veteran 1919, diameter approx 27cm, with clapper and suspension shackle, together with a bell-rope, an unused bell-rope and some details of history. Note: H.M.S. Veteran was sunk by U-boat U-404 on 26th September 1942 while picking up some of the survivors of the S.S. New York.
