A late 18th Century basket hilted cavalry backsword by Harvey with straight single edged blade with double fullers, double edged towards tip, length approx 96cm, traditional forged basket hilt, the panels pierced with triangular and circular holes, wire bound fishskin covered wooden grip, in its steel mounted leather scabbard (damage to basket and grip).
