A George III brass mounted ebonized bracket clock, the brass four pillar eight day twin fusee movement with verge escapement striking hours and half hours on a bell, the brass break arch dial with strike/silent indicator to arch above a chapter ring with black Roman numerals and outer Arabic minutes, framing a matt centre with dummy pendulum aperture, date aperture and applied plaque inscribed 'Wm Smith, London', the back plate finely engraved with a chinoiserie scene of a figure climbing stairs within a pillared archway, the case with bell-top and brass carry handle above pierced fret panels, foliate mounts and glazed door, on a moulded rectangular base and brass bracket feet, height approx 52.5cm, with winding key (lacking finials and minor faults).
