An early 19th Century brass inlaid figured mahogany bracket clock, the eight day twin fusee movement striking hours on a bell with deadbeat escapement and rack and pinion rise and fall regulation, the back plate inscribed 'Widenham, London' within an engraved foliate border, the arched silvered dial with strike/silent lever, subsidiary calendar and regulation dials above Roman numerals and inscribed 'Widenham, London', the case with arched pediment above canted corners, ring handles and pierced brass fret panels, the front inlaid with brass foliate scrolls and geometric motifs on a stepped plinth base and brass ball feet, height approx 55.5cm, together with a two part brass bob pendulum, the matched bracket with rectangular top and curved support. Note: Richard Widenham worked at East Street, Red Lion Square in London before moving to Lombard Street, where he worked between 1824 and 1832. He advertised as 'Watchmaker to the Hon. Board of Admiralty'.
