A mid-19th Century French ormolu and Paris porcelain cased mantel clock, the eight day movement with silk suspension striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the bleu céleste glazed porcelain case framing a circular dial painted with a central flower wreath and gilt with Roman numerals and inscribed 'Mottu Freres, Paris', above a reserve panel filled with a bird, nest and flowers, the case sides with further floral panels within gilt overlaid scroll framing, the ormolu mounts cast with flowers, vines and scrolls, height approx 28cm (lacking pendulum), with giltwood stand.
