LOT 1050
A late Victorian oak cased bracket clock with German eight day three train movement chiming quarters on eight gongs and striking hours on a large gong with pull repeat, the back plate stamped 'W & H Sch' (Winterhalder & Hoffmeier), the brass arched dial with chime/silent and chime selection subsidiary dials above a silvered chapter ring with Roman hour numerals, framing a matt centre, all framed by cast and pierced gilt scroll spandrels, the case top carved with a mask and foliate scrolls above further masks, herm columns and flowers in relief, flanked by a pair of carved and pierced mask and scroll fret panels, on a breakfront base and bracket feet, height approx 57cm, with pendulum and winding key, together with a matching oak wall bracket with similarly carved decoration.
