POPE, Alexander. Letters of Alexander Pope, and several of his friends. London: printed by Wright [etc.], 1737. Small folio bound in 2s (284 x 180mm.) Title with engraved portrait vignette, half-title, 2 engraved headpieces, 2 engraved initials. (Worming throughout to upper blank margins.) Old calf (rebacked, most of original spine laid down). Provenance: Viscount Esher (armorial bookplate). Note: the letter on p.9 is incorrectly dated '1724'.
