A Japanese Satsuma earthenware miniature vase by Hozan, Meiji period, the ovoid body painted and gilt with a continuous figural scene with Mount Fuji beyond, within bird and simulated brocade borders, black and gilt signature to base, height approx 6.1cm (minor rim restoration), together with another miniature vase by Fujisan, Meiji period, painted and gilt with opposing fan shaped panels filled with women and children and a landscape, iron red signature to base, height approx 5.9cm.
