A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase by Shunzan, Meiji period, the baluster body finely painted and gilt with opposing figural panels, one filled with bijin and children, the other with a seated musician playing a biwa as a dragon appears above, reserved against an iron red and gilt flowerhead filled ground, above a key fret border and millefleurs band, iron red and gilt signature to base, height approx 15cm.
