A collection of approximately 71 photographic postcards relating to wounded soldiers in Brighton during the First World War at the 2nd Eastern General Hospital, Kitchener's Hospital, The Dome and The Pavilion, including postcards titled 'European War Pictures 1914, Arrival of Our Wounded Heroes from the Marne at Bton Hove & Sussex Grammar School', 'R.A.M.C. 2nd Eastern Hospital for Wounded Soldiers Brighton', 'Arrival of our Wounded Soldiers from the Front entering New Grammar School Brighton Sept 1 1914', 'His Majesty leaving 2nd General Eastern Hospital Dyke Rd...', 'Red Cross Ward', 'Chevron Ward', 'A Group of Briton's Noble Sons in 2nd Eastern General Hospital...', '2nd Eastern General Hospital Stanford Rd', 'The Dome Operating Theatre', 'The Indian Wounded at the Royal Pavilion, Brighton' and 'Dedication of the Indian Chattri by HRH the Prince of Wales on the Downs', together with a further postcard and envelope collected for their postmark interest and a letter with envelope, each of related interest, all neatly compiled with associated text.
