LOT 1035
A George III figured mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the painted break arch dial with rolling moon to arch above black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dials and inscribed 'Lees, Bury', cornered with scenes of maidens in landscapes representing the four seasons, the hood with swan neck pediment and brass mounts, the trunk with turned quarter columns flanking a crossbanded door with shaped top, on a crossbanded base and bracket feet, height approx 242cm, with pendulum, two weights and winder. Note: Thomas Lees is recorded working in Bury between 1790 and 1814.
