A Japanese carved and stained ivory okimono figure group, Meiji/Taisho period, finely modelled as a samurai seated on horseback with sword drawn, whilst holding a bear cub aloft in his left hand, as a snake emerges through a hole on the rocky base, incised and black stained six character mark to panel on back of base and relief carved signature to base, height approx 23cm.
