A George III mahogany bracket clock, the brass five pillar eight day movement with verge escapement, striking hours on a bell with pull-repeat mechanism, the brass break arch dial with strike/silent indicator to arch above a silvered chapter ring framing a matt centre with dummy pendulum aperture, date aperture and applied silvered plaque inscribed 'Thorne, London', the back plate finely engraved with flowers and foliate scrolls, the case with bell-top and brass carry handle above fret panels and glazed doors on a moulded rectangular base and brass bracket feet, height approx 51cm, with case keys and winding key.
