LOT 2672
A paperknife, made from a bracing wire of the Vickers Trans-Atlantic Vimy, the blade inscribed 'Vickers Trans-Atlantic Vimy, June 14th 1919', length approx 30.5cm. Note: the Vickers Trans-Atlantic Vimy, flown by British aviators John Alcock and Arthur Brown, made the first non-stop crossing of the Atlantic Ocean from Newfoundland to County Galway, where it landed in a bog.
