An Indian carved and pierced ivory rectangular casket, late 19th/early 20th Century, the hinge lid inset with a central oval watercolour on ivory depicting a view of the Taj Mahal, flanked by a pair of smaller oval portraits of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his third wife Mumtaz Mahal, the ivory carved and pierced all-over with scrolling foliage, on four elephant feet, length approx 30cm (some faults).
