LOT 1100
A Chinese rhinoceros horn libation cup, Qing dynasty, probably 18th Century, of walnut colour with paler exterior, the steep sides finely carved in high relief with seven chilong crawling over a central taotie frieze, one dragon squeezing itself under the arched handle, height approx 12cm (old repair to fractures from rim to foot). Note: AHVLA pre-sale approval has been granted on this lot of 'worked' rhinoceros horn. It would, however, be unlikely that a re-export certificate would be granted under current restrictions.
