A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro and cover, probably by Kinkozan, Meiji period, of squat circular form, the body painted in muted tones and gilt with opposing figural scenes, within a border of dense white enamelled flowers on a gilt speckled ground, the pierced cover moulded with a design of interlocked gilt circles beneath a kiku bud finial, unsigned, height approx 9cm (restoration to cover).
