London & New York: 1868. 2 vols., 8vo (249 x 162mm.) 2 frontispieces, 3 chromolithographic additional decorative titles (1 for illuminations), 70 chromolithographic plates highlighted in gilt, numerous woodcut illustrations. (Occasional minor spotting or light browning.) Contemporary red half-morocco, spines gilt, g.e. (extremities scuffed, upper joint of vol. I splitting). Provenance: William T. Makins (armorial bookplates).
