LOT 1140
A late 19th Century French ormolu and Sèvres style porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the back plate stamped 'Bennett, 65 & 64 Cheapside, London', the porcelain dial painted with a scene of a courting couple within a frame of black Roman numerals against a bleu céleste ground border, the case with ram's mask handled urn surmount, above cast masks and acanthus swags framing porcelain panels filled with birds and flowers within gilt and bleu céleste borders, on a rectangular base with foliate rosettes and disc feet, height approx 37cm, with pendulum and a winding key.
