LOT 1045
A late 19th Century French ormolu mounted porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the porcelain circular dial painted with a Cupid and flower basket within a surround of gilt Roman numerals with blue and gilt border, the detachable domed cover surmounted with a putto, the cylindrical case painted with three panels depicting classical figures and a further panel filled with doves, musical instruments and flowers, all reserved against a blue glazed ground with gilt framing, flanked by four Ionic columns with pine cone finials, on an ormolu base cast with a foliate border, height approx 42cm, together with a pendulum.
