LOT 405
A mid-19th Century silver gilt cup and cover, the urn shaped body chased with a scene of Heligoland harbour, opposing an inscription 'This cup was presented by the representatives in the name of the inhabitants of Heligoland to His Excellency The Lieutenant Governor Major General Sir Henry King C.B.K.C.H..... September 1840', within an oak leaf border, above a band of dense flowers on a similarly decorated knop stem and domed foot decorated with buildings, flowers and swans, the cover with further floral bands, unmarked, height approx 32.5cm.
