A Japanese brown patinated bronze and parcel gilt model of a standing figure by Miyao, Meiji period, modelled standing on one leg, holding a large woven basket above his head, the smiling figure wearing a traditional tunic with elaborate phoenix and floral decoration, signed 'Miyao Ei' (Eisuke) to plaque at back of tunic, height approx 56.5cm, on a later painted and gilt hardwood stand.
