LOT 1547
A Meissen porcelain clock case, mid-19th Century, with eight day movement striking on a bell, the embossed brass dial inset with enamel hour plaques inscribed with blue Roman numerals, the flower encrusted case surmounted with a figure of Jupiter seated on clouds beside an eagle, the base modelled with Zeus binding Prometheus at the wrists and ankles, on scroll moulded feet picked out in pink, turquoise and gilt, cancelled crossed swords in underglaze blue to base and incised '1047' to back of case, height approx 71cm (restoration and faults).
