*A German Westerwald salt glazed stoneware tankard, 18th Century, the pewter hinge lid with central figural boss inscribed 'Ich Waerme Bald Der Alt Ist Rald' within a reeded rim, the cylindrical body incised and worked in relief with grey foliate motifs and panels against a blue ground, height approx 23cm.
