A George III burr walnut longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a gong, the brass break arch dial with silvered chapter ring framing a matt centre with subsidiary seconds and date aperture beneath a rolling moon to arch and silvered plaque inscribed 'William Mayhew, Woodbridge', the hood with moulded arch pediment above a glazed door flanked by stop fluted columns, the arched trunk door with boxwood and ebony stringing on a similarly decorated base and plinth, height approx 225cm, with pendulum, two weights and winder (alterations and restoration).
