LOT 1080
A mid-18th Century chinoiserie lacquered longcase clock with brass five pillar eight day movement striking on a bell, the silvered brass break arch dial with moonphase indicator to the arch above a silvered chapter ring framing a matt gilt centre with subsidiary seconds, date aperture and applied silvered plaque inscribed 'SamL Guy, London', cornered with cast and pierced gilt mask and scroll spandrels, the hood with moulded pediment and arched glazed door flanked by turned columns, the arched trunk door painted and gilt with chinoiserie scenes of figures, buildings and trees above a plain base and moulded plinth, height approx 219cm, together with pendulum and two weights (faults).
