A Dutch Makkum Royal Tichelaar delft wall charger, mid-20th Century, the centre inscribed 'Al ware de doot op de lippen, daeromme moet men geen couragie verliesen. J. Pz. Coen 14 Mei 1623', within a rim of flower and fruit festoons, inscribed 'Makkum' to base, diameter approx 34cm (hairline crack to rim).
