A large pair of gilt overlaid bleu céleste ground two handled vases and covers, modern, each shield shaped body printed with opposing panels of courting couples in eighteenth century costume within gilt foliate scroll framing, flanked by white glazed female mask handles with further gilt detail, raised on circular feet and plinth bases, the covers with acanthus knops, pseudo blue printed Russian marks to bases, height approx 88cm (minor faults).
