A 19th Century French hunting knife, dated 1862, with straight part double edged spearpoint blade, length approx 25cm, struck at forte 'Cault, Breveté. Pour le tranchant scie. Rue Dauphine No. 52', heavy steel crosspiece, antler grip, in its steel mounted leather sheath with section of frog.
