A Sèvres style gilt metal mounted cassolette, late 19th Century, the tapered ovoid cobalt blue ground body painted to one side with a kneeling man proposing to a woman, within an elaborate gilt frame with jewelled detail, opposing a floral bouquet, flanked by cast goat head handles, raised on a cast gilt metal foot, the reversible cover with candle sconce or flame finial, unmarked, height approx 22cm.
