A Chinese cinnabar lacquer circular box and cover, incised mark of Xuande and possibly of the period, in the form of a rice cake, the top carved with a profusion of fleshy leafed flowers, repeated on the underside, black lacquer interior and footrim, incised six character mark to base, diameter approx 11cm (losses and repair to cover).
