A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase by Kinkozan, Meiji period, the ovoid body painted with a panel of a cockerel and chicken amongst blossoming branches, opposing a panel of birds perched amongst wisteria branches, reserved against a blue ground with gilt overlaid decoration, iron red and gilt signature to base, height approx 20cm (some rubbing to gilt).
