A pair of Japanese Satsuma Arita style earthenware vases by Taizan, Meiji period, each club shaped body finely enamelled and gilt with birds and blossom, beneath a flared neck with lotus flowers and scrolling tendril pendants, flanked by a pair of Buddhistic lion handles, iron red signature to base, height approx 35cm.
