A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro and cover by Choshuzan, Meiji period, the globular body painted and gilt with a continuous scene of rakan beneath a dragon moulded surmount and cover, on a knopped circular base with dense gilt foliate scrolls and Shimazu mon on a brown ground, raised on tripod feet, extensive gilt signature to base, height approx 18.5cm, together with original fitted box (minor restoration to cover).
