A pair of Japanese Satsuma earthenware jars and covers, Meiji period, each ovoid body finely painted with geese at the waters edge, within simulated brocade polychrome enamel borders, each domed cover with brown and gilt Buddhistic lion cub finial, iron red signature to sides, height approx 23cm (minor faults).
