DICKENS, Charles. Oliver Twist; or the Parish Boy's Progress… the third edition. London: Chapman and Hall, 1841. 3 vols., 8vo (201 x 115mm.) 24 engraved plates after George Cruikshank. (Some spotting and browning, heavier to vol. I and plates, 1 text leaf torn with loss to margin to vol. I, occasional soiling.) Original green cloth (extremities bumped and slightly soiled, spine darkened, lower joint of vol. I splitting, inner joint split, one quire to vol. II now loosely inserted). Provenance: Henry Jeffreys Bushby (armorial bookplates to front pastedowns).
