BINDINGS. - Theodor MOMMSEN. The History of Rome... the popular edition. London: 1881. 4 vols., 8vo (186 x 117mm.) (Some browning.) Contemporary vellum, the upper covers blocked in gilt with the arms for Corpus Christi College, Oxford, the flat spines with onlaid red and green morocco lettering pieces (slightly soiled and discoloured). Provenance: Henry John Newbolt (college presentation inscription to front free endpaper dated Jan 20 1883). - And twenty-three others, all leather-bound (27).
